Kinley Rasmus emerges as two-way star at Little League World Series

Kinley Rasmus, a 12-year-old standout from Phenix City, Alabama, has emerged as a prominent two-way player at the Little League Baseball World Series. Rasmus has made history as the 25th girl to compete in the tournament and the ninth to pitch.

In her recent performances, Rasmus has demonstrated dominance both on the mound and at the plate. She recorded eight strikeouts in a single game against Tacoma, Washington, becoming the first girl to achieve that feat since Mo’ne Davis in 2014. She later tied Davis for the most career strikeouts by a girl in the tournament's history after striking out six batters in a relief appearance against West Chester.

Beyond pitching, Rasmus has contributed significantly to her team's offense, recording multiple hits and driving in crucial runs, including an RBI triple in a 12-2 victory over Bonita, California. The daughter of former major leaguer Cory Rasmus, she continues a family legacy at the tournament.
