Kinmen completes ballot number drawing for county magistrate election

Kinmen has become the first region in Taiwan to complete the ballot number drawing for its 9th county magistrate election. While many other parts of Taiwan suspended work and school due to Typhoon Champi, Kinmen proceeded with the scheduled event as weather conditions remained stable.

Seven candidates participated in the drawing to determine their official campaign numbers:

1. Chang Kuo-wei (Independent) 2. Lee Wen-liang (Independent) 3. Hung Ho-cheng (Independent) 4. Chang Huo-mu (Independent) 5. Chen Yu-chen (Kuomintang) 6. Liang Wen-tao (Independent) 7. Huang Shih-tuan (Independent)

Following the drawing, candidates held photo sessions with supporters and expressed their campaign intentions. The election marks a significant step in the local political process, with candidates now moving into the formal campaigning phase to present their policies to voters.
