Kinmen hosts leisure walking event for 320 travelers from Fujian

Approximately 320 travelers from Fujian participated in the ‘Chasing the Wind in Kinmen, Running Freely’ leisure walking event held on October 17 in Kinmen. The group, which included walking enthusiasts, young people, and families, explored the Gu-ning Head area.

Participants walked through various local landmarks, including the Shuangli Lake wetlands, ancient buildings, old wells, and historical towers, to experience the region's battlefield history, natural ecology, and traditional village scenery. The event was organized by Yuanxiang (Xiamen) Coastal Co., Ltd. and co-organized by the Xiamen Luntong Maritime Passenger Tourism Co., Ltd., the Kinmen County Tourism Development Association, and the Gu-ning Head Community Development Association.

The Kinmen County Government Tourism Bureau noted that the event exemplifies the integration of sports and tourism. The bureau expressed intentions to continue integrating cross-strait tourism and local community resources to promote diverse cross-sector cooperation and drive sustainable economic growth for the local tourism industry.
