Kinokuniya to launch Dick Bruna 100th anniversary collaboration

Kinokuniya is launching a special collaboration fair to celebrate the upcoming 100th anniversaries of both the bookstore and the birth of illustrator Dick Bruna in 2027. The commemorative goods fair is scheduled to begin on November 12, 2026.

The collection will be available at 102 domestic group stores, international locations, university book centers, and online stores. Featured items include mascot keychains of Miffy and Boris dressed as bookstore employees, embroidered book covers, and Staedtler 925 75 mechanical pencils in Bruna-themed colors.

Other products include Tyvek material book covers and pouches featuring Miffy and the Black Bear. Customers purchasing 1,500 yen or more in eligible books at physical stores may receive an original shopper on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-orders are currently being accepted exclusively through the Kinokuniya web store.
