The official X account of Kinryu Ramen, an Osaka-based establishment, has gained attention for suggesting a way to enjoy a similar flavor profile in the Kanto region using Hidakaya ramen.

Kinryu Ramen recommended that customers order Hidakaya’s ‘Tonkotsu Nira Nanban’ and add kimchi to replicate the experience of eating in Dotonbori. This combination mimics the Kinryu style of combining tonkotsu soup with chives and kimchi. Observers noted that both establishments share a similar approachable, ‘soul food’ atmosphere and a non-greasy soup base.
