Kinshasa police transfer 27 suspects to military prosecutor

In Kinshasa, the Congolese National Police (PNC) has transferred 27 suspects to the military prosecutor's office following urban crime operations. The group includes 22 alleged ‘Kuluna’ gang members, two individuals suspected of impersonating police officers in Mont-Ngafula, and three suspects accused of using false identities to steal motorcycles.

Separately, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the professionalization and security governance of the PNC. During the International Day of Police Cooperation at the University of Kinshasa, discussions focused on the role of digital technology in addressing cybercrime, online fraud, and transnational criminal networks. The IOM has been a technical partner to the PNC since 2010, contributing to the training of over 2,000 officers in community policing and supporting infrastructure projects across several provinces.
