Kinshasa wedding fire and Iran tanker explosion cause multiple fatalities

A fire at a wedding reception in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has resulted in at least 22 deaths. The tragedy occurred on the night of the 4th, with reports indicating that a large number of casualties occurred as people attempted to evacuate through narrow passages.

In a separate incident, a tanker truck explosion on a highway in Iran's Kordestan Province killed at least 11 people and injured seven others on the afternoon of the 5th. Authorities stated that a collision between the tanker and a passenger car ignited a fire that spread to surrounding vehicles, increasing the scale of the accident.
