Kintetsu Railway to launch ‘Les Saveurs Shima’ luxury restaurant train

Kintetsu Railway, Kintetsu Miyako Hotels, and Kintetsu Retailing have announced the launch of a new luxury restaurant train, ‘Les Saveurs Shima’, scheduled to begin operations on November 1 between Kintetsu Nagoya and Kashikojima stations.

The four-car train features a design inspired by the sea, white sand, and sun of the Shima region, utilizing a metallic blue and white color scheme. The onboard dining experience focuses on French cuisine prepared with local ingredients from Mie Prefecture, including Kumano chicken, abalone, Ise lobster, and Mie Wagyu beef. The menu is supervised by the Executive Chef of the Shima Kanko Hotel.

Passengers can choose between two dining options: a ‘French Course’ in Car 4, which offers table seating for 2–4 people, and a ‘French Zen’ set in Cars 1 and 2, which provides single or twin seating for 1–2 people. Pricing for the French Course ranges from 33,000 to 36,000 yen, while the French Zen set ranges from 19,000 to 21,000 yen. These prices include train tickets for the Nagoya to Ise-Shima free section, meals, and welcome and post-meal drinks. General ticket sales for November and December departures will begin on September 1.
