Kioxia develops new enterprise SSDs and utilizes Anritsu testing solutions
Kioxia has developed the LD4 series, a new line of enterprise SSDs utilizing its 8th generation BiCS FLASH QLC (Quad Level Cell) memory. The series features the E1.L form factor, designed for high-density 1U servers and read-intensive storage applications. The architecture supports capacities of 5.36TB and 30.72TB, with the potential to scale up to 122.88TB. These drives comply with PCIe 5.0 (Gen 4x4) and NVMe 2.0e specifications.
To support the development and quality evaluation of its next-generation PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 6.0 compatible SSDs, Kioxia is utilizing Anritsu’s MP1900A Signal Quality Analyzer. The Anritsu solution is being used for high-speed interface quality assessments, including compliance testing such as FBER evaluation, Rx/Tx LEQ evaluation, and link training evaluation. This collaboration aims to ensure signal integrity and efficient debugging during the development of high-performance storage systems for AI servers and cloud services.
