Kira McSpice announces new album ‘The House’

New York-based gothic folk singer-songwriter Kira McSpice has announced her upcoming album, ‘The House’, scheduled for release on October 23 via Danger Collective. The project serves as the third installment in her four-part series, ‘A Return in 4 Parts’.

The album was inspired by a spiritual journey facilitated by hypnotherapist Trina Merz, which led McSpice to a desert location featuring a recreation of her childhood home in Harlem, Georgia. The resulting music spans genres including gothic folk, alternative rock, ambient, and chamber music.

McSpice has released the lead single, ‘Return’, which explores themes of grief and memory. The track reflects on her experiences returning to the threshold of her childhood home and the complexities of revisiting her past.
