Kiran Abbavaram announces pan-India mythological film Indraputra

Actor Kiran Abbavaram has announced his first pan-India mythological action-fantasy film titled "Indraputra." Backed by Zee Studios and producer Prerna Arora, the project is intended to serve as the opening chapter of a larger mythological cinematic universe.

The film marks the directorial debut of Srikanth Puppala, who previously served as the first assistant director on Rishab Shetty’s "Kantara Chapter 1." Puppala expressed a desire to present an epic scale that is both visually spectacular and emotionally relevant to national audiences.

Abbavaram stated that the role is "very different and unconventional" from his previous work, requiring both physical changes and emotional depth. The story focuses on the conflict between dharma (righteous duty) and adharma (its violation). Principal photography is scheduled to begin in October.
