Kiran Rijiju Opens Sixth National Parliamentarians Badminton Tournament

On 6 August in New Delhi, the Constitution Club of India launched the sixth National Parliamentarians Badminton Championship. Union Minister Kiran Rijiju inaugurated the event, saying it offers MPs a chance to meet, improve fitness and foster harmony across party lines, aligning with the government's Fit India initiative. Club secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudi noted the broad participation of current and former parliamentarians, while MP N.K. Premchandran praised the club’s facilities, including a world‑class gym and swimming pool.

The tournament aims to combine sport with parliamentary camaraderie, encouraging legislators of all ages and parties to engage in healthy competition.
