Kirby Smart and Georgia players discuss bye week

Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart, along with senior safety Khalil Barnes and senior wide receiver London Humphreys, addressed the media during the team's bye week. Smart noted that the team is focusing on self-scouting and internal improvements to prepare for their upcoming matchup against No. 20 Florida on October 31 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Smart addressed a recent miscommunication regarding a field goal attempt, explaining that the error occurred because a player believed the team was punting. He also discussed the challenges of special teams performance in the SEC, noting that high-quality kickers often negate kickoff return opportunities, making punting efficiency a critical factor in field position.
