Kirby Smart previews Georgia matchup against Arkansas

Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart addressed the upcoming road game against the Arkansas Razorbacks scheduled for September 19 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Smart emphasized the difficulty of playing in SEC environments, noting that they become increasingly challenging as the season progresses.

During the press conference, Smart also responded to past comments made by Arkansas head coach Ryan Silverfield. While at Memphis in 2025, Silverfield had used Georgia’s history of player arrests as a cautionary example regarding program standards. Smart dismissed the controversy as ‘much ado about nothing,’ stating that Silverfield had apologized and was likely using generalities to educate his own players.
