Kirby Smart responds to Nick Saban's praise ahead of Alabama-Georgia game

Ahead of a critical matchup between Alabama and Georgia, tensions have risen following comments made by former Alabama coach Nick Saban. Saban praised the Georgia Bulldogs as the most complete team in college football, specifically noting their quarterback play, running back depth, and defensive strength.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart dismissed the praise, characterizing it as a setup or ‘rat poison’ intended to distract his team before their game against Alabama. Smart suggested the accolades were easy to give on a public stage but difficult to earn, noting the timing of the comments.

Alabama coach Kane Wommack expressed respect for the discipline and efficiency brought by Kirby Smart and the Georgia program. The undefeated Alabama team, led by Kalen DeBoer, faces the No. 2 ranked Bulldogs in a highly anticipated SEC contest.
