Rahul Gandhi faces BJP criticism following student outreach program

Political tensions in India have escalated following Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ (Echo of Students) program in Indore. During the event, Gandhi highlighted student grievances regarding the lack of affordable hostel accommodation and rising living costs, questioning the central government’s priorities.

In response, BJP leaders criticized the event, labeling it a ‘stage-managed’ performance and accusing Gandhi of being disconnected from societal realities. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju further attacked the Congress party, comparing it to ‘Bhasmasura’—a mythological figure who destroys everything he touches—claiming the party has a history of breaking its own allies and leaders.

Meanwhile, political competition regarding youth engagement continues as Chirag Paswan of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) announced the ‘Youth BOLE TO’ program in Patna for September 24. The event aims to provide a platform for Gen-Z to discuss education, employment, and digital-era challenges.
