Kiren Rijiju leads Indian delegation to NAM meeting in Serbia

Indian Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju is leading the Indian delegation to Belgrade, Serbia, for a high-level commemorative meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). The meeting, held from August 31 to September 1, marks the 65th anniversary of the first NAM summit held in Belgrade in 1961. The theme of the gathering is ‘Non-Aligned Movement: Lessons for Today’s World’.

During his visit, Rijiju toured the Yugoslavia Museum and the House of Flowers, the burial site of former Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito. He noted that these sites provided insight into the political history and cultural heritage of the region. Additionally, Rijiju paid tribute at a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Belgrade and met with members of the Indian community in Serbia to discuss strengthening bilateral relations.
