PAOK negotiates contract renewal with Kiril Despodov

PAOK officials have confirmed they are in discussions with Bulgarian international Kiril Despodov regarding a contract extension. While Bulgarian media reports suggest the 29-year-old winger has reached a verbal agreement with CSKA Sofia to return to his former club as a free agent in 2027, PAOK management maintains that negotiations to keep him in Thessaloniki are ongoing and at a positive level.

Despodov, who recently returned to full training following a significant injury, remains a key figure for the Greek club. Although Bulgarian outlets speculate on a potential pre-contract agreement in January or a winter transfer, PAOK has expressed its desire to retain the player beyond his current deal. The club emphasized that their trust in the player remains unshaken despite his recent absence from competitive play.
