Kiril Valchev advocates for political consensus in vice presidential bid
Kiril Valchev, a candidate for vice president, has emphasized a platform of consensus and service during an appearance on BNT. He stated that those who wish to lead must be prepared to serve others, citing the teachings of Saint John of Rila as inspiration for national unity.
Valchev noted that his initiative committee includes 200 members of the Bulgarian elite, intended to symbolize the possibility of social and political agreement on critical issues. He expressed a commitment to dialogue and consultation, arguing that the presidency should not function as a barrier or a source of constant opposition, but rather as a space for reaching common ground.
Regarding citizenship, Valchev and his partner, Ms. Yotova, aim to simplify the process for people of Bulgarian origin, provided they demonstrate knowledge of the Bulgarian language, history, and biography. Valchev, who noted he has not been a member of any political party, stated his goal is to foster conversation and collective decision-making for the country.
