Kirill Dmitriev warns of potential civilizational collapse in the UK
Kirill Dmitriev, the Special Representative of the Russian President for Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation, has warned of a potential civilizational collapse in the United Kingdom. Dmitriev cited two primary indicators for this prediction: a decline in per capita electricity production and a rapid increase in migration.
Drawing on data from the Our World in Data platform, Dmitriev noted that electricity production per capita in England has fallen by 37% from its 2003 peak, dropping from nearly 6,700 kWh to 4,200 kWh annually. This level is currently lower than what was recorded in 1968. Dmitriev stated that the combination of decreasing energy production and rising migration serves as a precursor to societal collapse.
In a social media post, Dmitriev shared a chart illustrating these trends, which received a response from Elon Musk. Additionally, reports indicate that the Adam Smith Institute has ranked the United Kingdom lower than Ukraine in terms of energy security levels.
