Uptown Records has announced a new partnership with 20-time Grammy Award-winning artist Kirk Franklin. The collaboration is being conducted in conjunction with Franklin’s Fo Yo Soul Entertainment and TRIBL Music Group.

The deal coincides with Uptown Records’ 40th anniversary and serves as part of a broader resurgence for the label. To mark the announcement, Franklin released a music video for his latest single, “Thank You For Everything,” which features gospel singer Karen Clark Sheard. The video recently made its broadcast debut on BET Her.

Uptown executives and representatives from TRIBL Music Group expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting Franklin’s transformational impact on the gospel genre. Franklin described the move as a “genuine honor” and expressed excitement for the upcoming body of work planned under the partnership.
