The issue began in Las Vegas, where Herbstreit experienced sudden, debilitating pain after a breakfast outing. Medical examinations later identified significant degenerative issues in his spine, including stenosis and a bone spur that was compressing his L5 nerve.

To address the condition, Herbstreit underwent a non-invasive procedure performed by Dr. Raymond Gardocki to remove the bone spur, which successfully relieved the burning sensations in his leg.

In a separate recent update, Herbstreit shared a social media post from Orlando following a Florida Citrus Sports event. The post featured a meeting with college football legend Lee Corso, who insisted on driving himself to visit Herbstreit despite a thunderstorm.
