Kirwa festivals celebrated in Speinshart and Gonfeiaschta

Traditional Kirwa festivals are being celebrated in Speinshart and Gonfeiaschta.

In Speinshart, the festivities included the 'Derblecken' tradition, featuring satirical Gstanzl singing. The duo Helena Braun and Paula Ring performed humorous songs targeting local village life, municipal council decisions, and community events such as the Tremmersdorf anniversary and local water shortages.

In Gonfeiaschta, the 19th Kirwa celebration featured the traditional raising of the Kirwabaum. Local volunteers and Mayor Adolf Hammer participated in the physical task of hoisting the tree, accompanied by brass music and community festivities.
