Kisač hosts fifth Tankosić memorial manifestation

The fifth manifestation, ‘Tankosić volunteer, Serb, fighter’, was held in Tankosicevo, Kisač, to honor the memory of Vojislav Tankosić and the Serbian volunteer movement. The event aimed to preserve the history of Serbian warriors and foster national unity and tradition.

Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin attended the event, delivering a speech regarding the importance of remembering historical sacrifices while emphasizing that modern patriotism is demonstrated through work, honesty, and responsibility toward one's community.

The program included various sports competitions, such as a ‘komit’ multi-event featuring long jump, stone throwing, and tug-of-war, as well as small football matches. The cultural program featured an art exhibition inspired by Great War heroes, created through art therapy by persons with disabilities, alongside performances by folk guslar Miljan Vujović and the female singing group ‘Sestre Šnajderov’.
