Kisela Voda sees rise in first-grade enrollment amid national decline

The municipality of Kisela Voda is experiencing an influx of first-grade students, a trend that contrasts with a significant nationwide decline in primary school enrollment. Education Minister Vesna Janevska noted that while the country has seen approximately 4,900 fewer first-graders compared to last year, Kisela Voda remains a positive exception.

During the opening of a new 460-square-meter sports hall at the ‘Krume Kepeski’ primary school in Pripor, Janevska highlighted ongoing infrastructure investments. The project, valued at over 19.4 million denars, is part of a broader effort to improve educational quality. The government aims to implement single-shift classes in 90 percent of the municipality by constructing additional classrooms in schools such as ‘Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu’, ‘Krume Kepeski’, and ‘Rajko Zhinzifov’.

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Mayor Betty Stamenkoska Trajkoska also attended the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of providing modern facilities to support the physical and spiritual development of children.
