Kismet restaurant opens in London's Borough Market

Kismet is a new restaurant pop-up located above the Globe Tavern in London's Borough Market. A collaboration between restaurateur Dom Hamdy and chef Keiran Mustafa, the establishment opened in July and is expected to remain at this location for one year.

The restaurant is designed to replicate the traditional “meyhane” drinking dens found in Istanbul and northern Cyprus. The interior features decor inspired by these regions, including vintage Turkish television programs and flea market finds from Istanbul. The menu and beverage service include Turkish raki and the restaurant's own-brand Basket Case lager.
