KISS members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley to throw first pitch at Angels game

KISS co-founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley will throw the ceremonial first pitch at an upcoming Los Angeles Angels game against the Kansas City Royals. The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.

The Los Angeles Angels announced the appearance on social media, noting that fans can stay after the game for a KISS-themed postgame fireworks show. The appearance also coincides with the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of a historic KISS concert performed at Anaheim Stadium on August 20, 1976.

To mark the anniversary, newly mastered audio from that 1976 concert, originally recorded by Eddie Kramer, is being released on CD and vinyl. The band's final live shows were held in December 2023, and they recently sold their music catalog and brand to Pophouse Entertainment.
