KISS to release ‘KISS Destroys Anaheim ‘76’ live album

Rock band KISS has announced the August 21 release of ‘KISS Destroys Anaheim ‘76’, a live album commemorating the 50th anniversary of their performance at Anaheim Stadium. The original concert, held on August 20, 1976, during ‘The Spirit Of ’76 Tour’, drew a crowd of over 42,000 fans, which was the largest audience for the band at that time.

Engineer Eddie Kramer, who originally recorded the show, has newly mixed the audio from the original multi-track tapes for this release. The album will be available in various formats, including a deluxe SHM-CD made in Japan that features a 60-page book with liner notes and unreleased imagery.

In conjunction with the album release, band members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley will appear at an Los Angeles Angels game on August 15 against the Kansas City Royals. The duo is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, and the event will include KISS-themed entertainment and a postgame fireworks display set to the band’s music.
