Kitakyushu City announces Human Rights Week lecture with Miki Fujimoto
Kitakyushu City has announced a public lecture for Human Rights Week to be held on December 6, 2026, at the Kurosaki Hibishin Hall. The event, titled ‘For a Shining Tomorrow’s Smile: The Internet Society and Family Bonds,’ will feature celebrity Miki Fujimoto as the guest speaker.
The lecture will address topics relevant to modern family life, including parenting in a digital society, establishing smartphone rules for children, and navigating online defamation. The event is free to attend, with a capacity of 800 people, though participation requires prior application via online or postal methods by November 20, 2026.
To support families, the city is offering childcare services for children from six months old to third-grade elementary students for a fee of 1,500 yen per child. The venue will also provide sign language interpretation and summary writing services to ensure accessibility.
