Kitakyushu City seeks managers for libraries and cultural hall

Kitakyushu City has announced the recruitment of designated managers for several public facilities to improve citizen services and reduce costs through private sector expertise.

One recruitment process is for the Kokuraminami Library, including its Sone branch. The proposed management period is scheduled to run for five years, from April 1, 2027, to March 31, 2032.

Additionally, the city is seeking a joint manager for the Kurosaki Cultural Hall and the Yahatanishi Library. This management term is expected to last from July 1, 2027, to March 31, 2032.

Applicants must be organizations or corporations capable of responding quickly to emergencies. For joint ventures, the city encourages the inclusion of local organizations to promote the regional economy.
