Vinegar traps as a method for fruit fly control

Apple cider vinegar can be used as an effective, non-toxic method for eliminating fruit fly infestations. The process involves creating a trap where the vinegar lures the insects and prevents their escape.

Fruit flies are typically attracted to overripe produce, sugary liquid spills, and damp areas such as sink drains. Because they have a short lifecycle, they can multiply quickly in kitchens and pantries if breeding grounds are not addressed.
