Kitchen hack to remove odors from dishcloths
To eliminate unpleasant odors from dishcloths that persist despite regular rinsing, a simple household method using common kitchen ingredients can be employed. Odors often stem from microorganisms and trapped grease within the fabric fibers, especially when cloths are left damp or bunched up in warm environments.
The recommended treatment involves soaking the cloth overnight in a solution of one liter of hot water, three tablespoons of kitchen vinegar, and one tablespoon of salt. For heavily greasy cloths, washing with dish detergent prior to soaking is advised. In the morning, the cloth should be squeezed, rinsed with cold water, and spread out to dry completely to prevent the return of odors.
