Kitchen safety tips for oil frying and air fryer usage

Kitchen safety and efficiency can be improved through specific cooking techniques and proper appliance management. Adding a few grains of salt to hot oil may help reduce splattering by absorbing some moisture at the contact point, though it is not a complete solution for very wet foods like frozen items or freshly washed vegetables.

Regarding air fryers, fire risks often stem from improper placement rather than technical failure. Users are advised to avoid placing air fryers too close to walls, cabinets, or wooden surfaces to allow heat to escape. Additionally, air fryers should never be placed on top of gas or induction stoves, and the top of the device should not be used to store flammable items like towels or plastic bags.
