Japan cultural events: New radio program, Doraemon pop-up, and Tarepanda shop

Several cultural and retail events are scheduled to take place in Japan during late 2026.

Kichizuya Co., Ltd. will launch a new radio program titled ‘Okashi de Sekai ni Smile Radio’ on MBS Radio starting October 2, 2026. Hosted by Kazuhisa Kanki, the program aims to share the charm of confectionery and global food culture.

In the retail sector, Benelic Co., Ltd. will open a temporary ‘Doraemon Future Department Store’ at Tokyo Dome City from October 9 to November 23, 2026. The pop-up will feature exclusive seasonal merchandise, including cardigans and socks.

Additionally, San-X Co., Ltd. is hosting a ‘Tarepanda POP-UP SHOP’ at Yamashiroya in Ueno, Tokyo, beginning October 3, 2026. The event will showcase new items from the ‘Itsumo no Tarepanda’ series, such as stationery, pouches, and plush toys.
