Kite festivals scheduled for autumn in Germany

Various kite festivals are scheduled to take place in Germany during the autumn season.

At Altmühlsee, the “Drachenfest” is set for Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the Schlungenhof lake center. The event features a variety of activities for families, including information stands, comedy, and programs such as “Der Traum vom Fliegen” by the Landesbund für Vogelschutz. Professional kite equipment will be available through KITE and BIKE, and the local surf center will also participate in kite activities.

In Wiesbaden-Nordenstadt, the Norschter Kultur e. V. is hosting its second annual kite festival on Sunday, October 18. Held at the Scholzenhof area, the event allows participants to fly kites up to a maximum height of 30 meters. Admission to the festival is free, and it is designed as a family-friendly leisure activity.
