Kiều Thanh: Profile of the Meritorious Artist from Hanoi

Meritorious Artist Kiều Thanh, born Kiều Thị Thanh in 1981 in Hanoi, has recently gained significant attention from social media users. Originally intending to pursue a career in pedagogy, she instead enrolled in the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema in 1999.

She rose to prominence in 2001 with her breakout role as Trà in the popular television series ‘Phía trước là bầu trời’. Following this success, she joined the Hanoi Drama Theatre, performing in both stage plays and television productions. Her notable works include the film ‘Gái nhảy’ and various television series such as ‘Khi đàn chim trở về’ and ‘Câu hỏi số 5’. In 2015, she was officially honored with the title of Meritorious Artist by the State. After a hiatus to focus on her personal life, she returned to the screen in 2019 in the film ‘Hoa hồng trên ngực trái’.
