Kiwanis Club leadership updates in Erice and Trapani
The Kiwanis Clubs of Erice and Trapani have announced new leadership and strategic directions for their upcoming social years, focusing on community service, youth involvement, and child welfare.
In Erice, Antonietta Calamia has been confirmed as president through the 2027/2028 social year. This marks her third consecutive term. Calamia highlighted the club's ongoing collaboration with UNICEF, including maternal and neonatal assistance projects in Africa and nutritional support for children. The club also maintains local initiatives such as hospital visits for pediatric wards.
In Trapani, Elisa Maria Ilari has succeeded Santo Minafò as president for the 2026-2027 term. Ilari’s leadership will feature a board composed entirely of young members to encourage new involvement. The club has already initiated projects to combat childhood malnutrition, including the provision of therapeutic food through national service programs.
