Kiyoshi Hikawa releases Hibari Misora cover album

Singer Kiyoshi Hikawa has released a new cover album titled ‘Kiyoshi Hikawa Sings Hibari Misora’, available on CD and digital streaming services as of September 2. The album features 13 tracks, including six newly recorded versions of classics by the legendary singer Hibari Misora, such as ‘Kawa no Nagare no You ni’ and ‘Omatari Mambo’.

Hikawa expressed that the project was born from a desire to express the greatness of Misora’s music in a way that resonates with the current generation. The release has already seen significant interest, with social media personality Ayana Kato noting that the album briefly sold out on Amazon due to high demand.

In addition to the album launch, Hikawa is scheduled to perform live on the Nippon Television program ‘DayDay.’ to sing ‘Kawa no Nagare no You ni’. He is also set to embark on a nationwide concert tour, ‘KIINA’S LAND 2’, which includes performances at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in Tokyo in early September.
