KJ Biermann case: Prosecutors seek forensic interviews with minors
Prosecutors in the felony case against Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr. have filed an emergency motion seeking permission to conduct forensic interviews with unidentified minors. While the public docket does not specify the number of children or their relationship to the defendant, the request follows revelations regarding Biermann’s prior legal history.
During a September bond hearing, prosecutors stated that the 15-year-old had been under court supervision since October 2025 due to a separate juvenile sexual battery matter. State investigators allegedly discovered videos on Biermann’s cellphone involving sexual activity with a younger family member. Biermann’s attorney, Jason Sheffield, has disputed the prosecution’s description of that earlier case.
Court records also reveal that Biermann’s cellphone was a point of contention in the divorce proceedings between his parents, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, more than a year before his arrest. In February 2025, Zolciak filed an emergency motion following a discovery made by Kroy Biermann. Although the specific nature of the discovery remains redacted, Zolciak requested an in-camera inspection by a judge to protect the best interests of the children.
