KJ Biermann pleads not guilty to seven felony charges

Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., the 15-year-old son of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, has pleaded not guilty to seven felony charges in Fulton County Superior Court. The indictment includes counts of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment, and three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16.

Defense attorney Jason Sheffield filed the plea on October 5 and waived the scheduled October 14 arraignment. A central component of the legal strategy involves a request to transfer the case from adult court to the juvenile justice system. The defense argues that because the alleged incident occurred when Biermann was 14, he should be processed through a system focused on rehabilitation. If the case remains in adult court, some charges could carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years without parole.

The charges stem from an alleged encounter on April 23 at a Life Time Fitness facility in Alpharetta, Georgia, where a female classmate accused Biermann of forcing sexual contact. Biermann is currently under 24-hour house arrest with electronic monitoring following a $200,000 bond. His current restrictions include virtual schooling, no cellphone or social media use, and a prohibition on contacting the accuser.
