KJ Choi Invitational to be held in Yeoju starting October 1

The 11th Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance KJ Choi Invitational is scheduled to take place from October 1 to 4 at the Ferrum Club in Yeoju, South Korea. Co-hosted by Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance and the KJ Choi Welfare Foundation, the KPGA Tour event features a total prize pool of 1.25 billion won, with the winner receiving 250 million won.

Tournament host K.J. Choi will make his first KPGA Tour appearance in approximately one year, following a strong 7th-place finish at the ISPS Handa Senior Open in July. Defending champion Jeon Ga-ram seeks to retain his title, while Ham Jeong-woo, a two-time winner at Ferrum Club, also aims for victory. Other notable competitors include Jang Yu-bin, Choi Chan, and Song Min-hyuk.

The tournament emphasizes a ‘player-first’ approach, providing extensive support including two days of official practice time, free accommodation at the Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance High Vision Center, and a new club cleaning service. Additionally, a 45 million won reserve fund will be distributed among players finishing 61st or lower to ensure broader financial support.
