KJ Jackson named Arkansas starting quarterback
The Arkansas Razorbacks have named KJ Jackson as the starting quarterback for the 2026 season. Jackson, a junior, secured the position following a competitive training camp battle against sophomore AJ Hill.
Jackson, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound passer, is scheduled to lead the team in the season opener on September 5. During his previous appearances, Jackson completed 63% of his passes for 552 yards and five touchdowns. While coaching staff noted some accuracy concerns during practice, Jackson has demonstrated an ability to make effective decisions during live game situations.
AJ Hill, a former Memphis player, is expected to see playing time as the team prepares for its upcoming matchups.
