KJ, son of Kim Zolciak, faces felony charges and seeks juvenile court transfer

Kroy Biermann Jr, known as KJ, the 15-year-old son of Kim Zolciak, remains in custody at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center in Atlanta following a grand jury indictment on seven felony charges. The charges, which include aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, and false imprisonment, stem from an alleged incident involving a female classmate at a fitness center in Alpharetta, Georgia, in April.

A scheduled hearing was recently canceled due to the new indictment, which will require a change in the presiding judge. KJ’s legal team has filed a motion to transfer the case to the juvenile justice system to avoid being prosecuted as an adult. The defense is also seeking confidentiality proceedings.

KJ has denied all allegations. A bond hearing is expected to take place this Friday to determine if he can be released under specific conditions, such as house arrest or GPS monitoring, while awaiting further legal proceedings.
