KJRI Jeddah repatriates 15 Indonesians from Saudi Arabia
The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Jeddah has facilitated the repatriation of 15 Indonesian citizens from Saudi Arabia due to immigration issues. The group includes three adult Indonesian migrant workers and 12 children between the ages of 2 and 13.
During their stay at a shelter in Jeddah, the KJRI provided assistance with administrative requirements, including securing travel documents and exit permits through coordination with the Saudi Arabian Immigration Detention Center (Tarhil).
The repatriation process was a collaborative effort involving several Indonesian agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Migrant Worker Protection (KP2MI), and the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Services. The Indonesian government has urged all citizens abroad to ensure their travel documents are valid and to contact Indonesian representatives immediately if they require assistance.
