Basketball clubs and national teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina prepare for new seasons
Basketball clubs and national teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina are preparing for upcoming seasons. Nihad Selimović, president of KK Bosna BH Telecom, announced that ticket prices for the new season will be significantly more affordable to encourage higher attendance and foster a new match-going culture. The club plans to offer free entry to certain games for children and schools.
In the national team sector, the Bosnia and Herzegovina men's basketball team has gathered on Vlašić to begin preparations for the 2027 World Cup qualifications. Head coach Dario Gjergja currently has most of his players available, with several others expected to join shortly. The team will undergo physical and tactical training before playing friendly matches against Poland and KK Bosna BH Telecom.
Additionally, Igman Burcha coach Dinko Peljto is building a young, aggressive roster for Igman Burcha’s debut season in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Championship, focusing on high-intensity play despite a limited budget. Meanwhile, HŠK Posušje is working toward a return to the WWin league under new coach Boris Grbavac, aiming to blend youth with experience after a difficult previous season.
