Küçükçekmece Municipality launches student aid program

Küçükçekmece Municipality has launched a comprehensive social assistance program for low-income students for the 2026-2027 academic year. Managed by the Social Services Directorate, the initiative aims to promote equality in education through two primary channels: nutrition and school supplies.

To support the physical development of primary school children, the municipality delivers daily nutrition bags directly to students' homes. These bags include items such as milk, fruit juice, eggs, cheese, olives, jam, chocolate cream, cake, tahini-molasses, and bread.

Additionally, the municipality has prepared specialized stationery sets for 2,000 students across primary, middle, and high school levels. Primary school kits include bags, pencil cases, various pencils, erasers, scissors, coloring sets, and notebooks. Middle and high school sets provide essential tools such as rulers, pens, and notebooks to alleviate the financial burden on families.
