Klaartje Pander to exhibit paintings at Studio 12-06

Artist Klaartje Pander will showcase a selection of her work at Studio 12-06 on Centrumeiland during the last weekend of September. The small art space, managed by Gijsbert Hanekroot and Lyanne Lamar, provides temporary exhibition opportunities for local artists.

Pander, an alumna of Academie Minerva in Groningen currently living and working in Amsterdam, utilizes various techniques including painting, drawing, illustration, and graphics. Her work focuses on the sensory and physical experience of environments rather than mere literal representation. Her large-scale paintings often explore the relationship between observed landscapes—such as sand dunes or forest light—and the memory of those spaces, incorporating visible layers and traces of the creative process.
