Kladno church receives 4 million CZK for urgent roof repairs

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Kladno is undergoing a major roof renovation to prevent water from leaking into the building. The project, which is expected to be completed by the end of October, will cost approximately four million CZK.

The funding is being provided through a collaborative effort between several parties: the city of Kladno is contributing over two million CZK, the Prague Archbishopric is providing a portion, and local parishioners raised 619,000 CZK through a collection. Parish priest Martin Chleborád noted that the repair was urgent, as heavy rains had previously caused water to leak directly onto the church floor, threatening the interior vaults, plaster, and equipment.
