Kladno expands parking capacity amid debates over SUV space usage

The city of Kladno has expanded its parking capacity by over 1,200 spaces since 2022 through street modifications, parking lot developments, and the reconstruction of the bus station. Additionally, the city has freed up approximately 200 spaces by auctioning off long-term abandoned vehicles and non-compliant cars.

Mayor Milan Volf stated that while the city will continue to increase parking capacity, it must be balanced with green spaces. Future plans may include multi-story parking structures, and the city expects developers to ensure sufficient parking capacity in new residential projects.
