Klagenfurt Mayor Christian Scheider: Investigations dropped

The Public Prosecutor's Office in Klagenfurt has discontinued several criminal investigations against Mayor Christian Scheider. The dismissed allegations included breach of trust, abuse of official power, violation of official secrets, and attempted criminal acts through the exploitation of an official position.

Scheider stated that many of the accusations were anonymous and politically motivated, claiming they had placed a heavy burden on his person and his leadership. He expressed confidence in the independent judiciary, noting that the decision confirms his trust in the legal system. While several proceedings have been closed, Scheider noted that some legal matters remain unresolved.
